first day of school

m2 is smiling now but once her "guys" were gone that cute smile was no longer!
she is adjusting slowly but still asks "err my guys mommy?" every day.
every. day. i wonder how long that will last?

"err my guys mommy?"

translation: "where my guys mommy?" is that not the sweetest.... my guys is what m2 calls her brother and sister.  she is wondering where they are today... it's the first day of school and her summer playmates are not here for her every need. today is just a half day but tomorrow is the real deal... lucky for her we have story time at the zoo tomorrow morning that should be fun.

starting early

this child loves the water and especially the water toys. this picture sums up her summer lake fun ~ remember she is only two! she is on a trainer ski that you can sit on and if you feel comfortable you can stand (recommended age is 4--5). granddaddy or jd held on the back just in case she needed scooping out of the water quickly. i idled so she was going very slow. oh, please ignore the spider man life jacket that granddaddy put on her, she has a cute pink one and an even cuter hat.
floating around the lake waiting for her turn. we had a rotation by age and she would definitely let you know when it was her turn again.
"me ride det key wiff daddy" yes, m2 did ride the jet ski with daddy, mommy and anyone else who would take her. don't even try to head out on a mommy break ride without her. john david was letting her steer (idling only) while his hands were on his lap and she found the throttle... he almost fell off cause he was definitely not prepared for that!

super excited... N.O.T.

we went school supply shopping yesterday. so many people love doing this... getting new pencils, markers, erasers, crayons, pencil boxes, kleenex, cough drops for the clinic, hand sanitizer for the classroom, and the list continues.  m1 got a new backpack ~ one with wheels.  little man will use his from last year.   we have had a SUPER FUN summer and i can not wait to post more pictures and get completely updated. we spent every other week at the lake... the children have conquered the knee board and are learning to ski.  m2 even has a special "trainer ski" that she gets pulled on behind the jet ski. (we only idle which means 2-3 miles per hour but still she loves it and lets us know when her turn comes up again). at this point we have two weeks left and one of those is the huge consignment sale that i am working. the grandparents are helping with babysitting so they will have fun with them also.  m2 is really going to have a tough adjustment this year... her playmates are going to be GONE! oh my, i am on the verge of tears and they have not even left yet. good grief!
