with only 30 homes surrounding the lake these are just amateur fireworks set off a boat several piers away. a few will go off, then we can hear them splashing in the water to light some more... kinda funny. but the children love them as we sit atop our pier without large crowds. several other home owners also set them off around the lake. behind us the moon was rising along with an occasional flash of a firework or two. i had never photographed fireworks with my new camera and was playing with the settings in the dark. i should have thought about that before the show started.
