i like accessorizing

 m2 thought i needed additional accessories for our grocery store run. my choices were silly bandz or a ginormous primary colored wooden block necklace. i think i made the correct choice.

m2 and i were heading out the door to take the children to school. "wait ma, i need my paint wheel". she grabbed the colorful deck of waterproof uno cards and ran for the car. ahh, that's my girl. and yes, she is so busy that she shortens mama to ma... like, little house on the prairie ma. where's my bonnet?

reunited... (and frustrated)

we have been out of milk for two days now, winner of a mommy here.  little man and i are both in time outs... this is how i am dealing with mine. two days is a lllooonnnggg time without my chocolate milk. ahhhhh, now to deal with little man....

before & after ~ i didn't like it

so many hours sanding, priming, sanding, priming, sanding, painting, sanding, taping and painting... loved the piece in the garage, moved it into the room and was not wowed. monochromatic does not make me happy. went out of town, hoped to come home and realize it was just what i wanted. did not happen. out came the paint wheel... again. did not even move back to the garage, sanded and repainted right in the landing upstairs.

a little more contrast (drawers have already been tried out in the room) and i think this is it. well, it better be because i am not painting it again.
